First used as a builders yard for Johnson & Sons the main building was replaced around 1947 with a garage to house the lorries of Three Counties Supplies & Transport operated by Arthur Johnson. The buildings then were taken over by Arthur’s sons, Peter & Paul Johnson and used for their computer maintenance business between 1980 and 2004. Subsequently the buildings are all rented out to local businesses.
Woodheath 28 Longmoor Road

Built in 1920’s and originally operated as a school by a Miss Skevington the house was later purchased by John Windibank, a director of Chapman, Lowry & Puttick. The chalet at the top of the garden was used as the rehersal rooms for the ‘Overriders’ a 1960’s rock band of which Peter Windibank was lead guitarist.
